Guy is an inspirational speaker who devotes his time to advocating to reduce the stigma of harm reduction and to education on substance use and addiction. This recording was created in collaboration with Legal Aid BC and Courthouse Libraries BC to help people working the criminal justice system to better understand the relationships between trauma, substance use and the criminal justice system.

Bite Sized Animal Law Part II: "The Link" between Animals & Humans

In this 1.5 hour webinar, we'll look at access to justice and the interconnection in law between animals and humans via "The Violence Link". The Link explains the interconnectedness between animal and human abuse, shared vulnerabilities, and shared harm of disenfranchised groups. Pet adoptions and violence have risen during COVID-19. Researchers, law enforcement agencies, animal advocates and lawyers have revealed that there is a proven link between violence against women, children and family pets.
